Mind the Gap



Feelings are just visitors… Let them come and go…

Ever been in a situation where you find yourself asking yourself “what just happened”? You are there but not really there. A situation where reality hit you way after the incident. Ever been there? Yes? No? maybe?

Well sometimes it’s difficult to “be present” in the moment. We sometimes want to consume our conscious mind with “make believe ideas”. In the sense of somewhat denial. Not denying the incident but denying our true feelings and getting in touch with it. Our frame of reference always triggers some kind of emotion, whether positive or negative. Many of us go through life on autopilot. We focus to much on our thoughts and this can cause unhappiness, because we always find ourselves overthinking the very yet simple things.

Being Mindful is the art of living in the present moment. By living in the present moment we realize that a lot of our stress and anxiety is unnecessary. Get to a state of mind where you rule your mind, before it rules you. At this point I would want to highlight, don’t believe everything you think! Hahahahah might sound funny in a way or weird. But in most cases we create our own fears, stress and anxieties.

Mindfulness is a not a 3-step solution. It involves a healthy lifestyle, a way of walking the path, the life journey. Your Journey!

We can strive to be Authentic. To be Real, living from the heart. Be Open by embracing all moments in life for learning. Live Intentionally, in an active head space, not reacting out of emotion. Be Graceful, accepting the imperfect kindness and always forgive!

There is some method to the madness, yet very simple.

… Forgive the past
              … Let go of expectations
                        … Engage with your senses
                                   … Observe the present moment
                             … Release any judgement
                       … Practice gratitude
                                        … Reflect before responding

It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to has power over you. If you allow it. Take time to do what makes you happy. Your mind will always believe everything you tell it. Feed it faith. Feed it truth. Feed it with love.

Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. You can grow flowers or you can grow weeds!

Choose Well… Always remember the things we take for granted someone else is praying for.
